The AE1 mkIII SE is the latest award-winning incarnation of the ever popular AE1 loudspeaker on which Acoustic Energy was founded.
With the "Special Edition" model we have completely reworked the crossover of the standard AE1 mkIII utilising the highest grade components available - simplifying the layout and removing all resistors from the design (which we have found detrimental to transparency and timing).
The result is a faster sounding, punchier and more musically satisfying speaker with lower distortion and colouration. The Worldwide press seem to be in agreement that the SE's are some of the finest stand-mount speakers currently available on the market.
With the SE model we are also proud to offer our "Colour Match" service - we will personalise your pair by painting them a colour of your choosing and finish them in a beautiful high gloss piano lacquer. Please ask your local AE stockist for more details.
